The international swimming pool and wellness industry is set to come together once again for the Aquanale International Trade Fair from 28th to 31st October 2009.

The event, in Cologne, Germany will bring together more than 300 companies from 27 countries to present new products, innovations, products and services in an exhibition space of 36,000 metre².

As Oliver P. Kuhrt, Executive Vice President of hosts Koelnmesse GmbH explains, the sector can look ahead to the future with optimism in the run-up to Aquanale, "the supply side is almost completely represented both nationally as well as internationally."

This year Aquanale is the only international trade fair for the swimming pool and wellness sectors to be held in Germany. New content highlights are being set by aquanale this year with the Special Show âSpirit of Bathâ wellness rooms and high-quality commercial spas.

Value-added content will also be provided by the 3rd Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum.

Organised by three associations: the International Association for Sports & Leisure Facilities (IAKS), Federal Association of Swimming Pools and Wellness (BSW) and Federal Association for Sauna, Construction and Steam Baths (BSB) in cooperation with Koelnmesse, the Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum will cover two themes currently dominating the swimming pool sector: the new European swimming pool norm EN 15288 as well as energy efficiency and sustainability.

It will also include a presentation on 40 Years of Stainless Steel Pools.

The entire product spectrum at aquanale extends from pre-fabricated swimming pools and Jacuzzis/spas through to sauna facilities, steam baths and solariums right up to the furnishing and fitting of entire swimming pool and wellness areas for private individuals or commercial operators.

Architects, planners, engineers, swimming pool and sauna constructors, operators of sauna, wellness and pool facilities, operators of hotels, fitness clubs as well as private pool owners can obtain comprehensive information at aquanale.
