Hong Kong’s Ocean Park and Water World look to recruit over 100 full-time and part-time positions

Hong Kong attractions Ocean Park and Water World have advised that they are looking for staff to fill over 100 full-time and many part-time vacancies, including frontline and back-of-house positions, as well as seasonal part-time vacancies for the upcoming Christmas and Chinese New Year.

Available positions cover areas including education and fun learning, animal care, events and entertainment, park operation and experience, food and beverages, guest services and retail with daily responsibilities covering greeting and assisting visitors, operating rides, supporting the operation of food kiosks, restaurants and kitchens, as well as managing the daily operations of souvenir shops and game booths.

All positions require outdoor work and may involve shift schedules.

For part-time applicants, hourly rate is up to HK$90 depending on the role.

Ocean Park and Water World offer various benefits for full-time employees, including a newcomer bonus of HK$6,000, special holidays such as birthday leave, work anniversary leave and volunteer leave.

Both full-time and part-time staff will get the chance to experience each of the attractions’ seasonal events first-hand at staff previews.

With Ocean Park and Water World offering clear career ladders, performance-based promotion opportunities and excellent promotion opportunities, comprehensive on-the-job training is provided to assist newcomers in learning and adapting.

Full-time and part-time employees interested in learning ride operations will receive training to gradually acquire the necessary skills and licences.

Interested individuals can apply on-site at the Ocean Park and Water World Career Discovery Tour, which will be held at Waterfront, Ocean Park from 1pm to 5:30pm on 14th November.

Visitors can participate in interviews, and engage in a series of exciting activities, including Animal Meet-and-Greets, department introduction, job demonstrations, and performances.

Aqua Fitness at Water World
Water World has also commenced a series of aqua fitness experiences in its Horizon Cove pool.

Commencing yesterday (11th November) and running over three consecutive weekends participants can participate in aqua Pilates, boxing and Zumba dance.

Management advise “Water World’s indoor thermostatic systems will keep you cosy and warm” during the classes.
