World Leisure unveils new branding and website
October 13, 2023

As a legacy of its 70th anniversary last year, the World Leisure Organization (WLO) has announced new branding and a revamped website.

Since 1952, WLO has been advocating for leisure worldwide and, while noting that the past years “have been challenging but also rewarding”, WLO note that “as the legacy of our 70th anniversary, we have decided to do a major rebrand in our logo.”

WLO add “we want to introduce you to a stronger identity that remains aligned with our mission and values.

“With ever changing evolution and progression of the World Leisure Organization, we celebrate the history and achievements under the older brand and express excitement for the new direction. As we look to the future, we believe it is time to refresh, to better reflect who we are and the future we are creating.

“Our new look is a symbol of our commitment to innovation, excellence and development.”

In a communication to stakeholders and members, WLO Chair, Professor Joanne Schroeder advised “on behalf of the Board of directions, we thank you for your continued support and commitment to local and global leisure.

“Our new brand reinforces the sense of an international community working together for resilience, health, equity, access, and well-being of all citizens. We are excited about the future and the new opportunities this rebranding will bring. Leisure Matters, and for that reason we will keep moving forward in pursuit of its beneficial impacts to the world.

“Nothing has changed on our side - we are the same people, with the same passion and motivation of bringing WLO events and programs all over the world.

“We are also ready to start working on new projects we have always wanted to build and bring them to places that were tough to reach.”
