Waterco to distribute LiqTech pool water filtration system across Australia and Asia Pacific
LiqTech International, Inc., a clean technology company that manufactures and markets highly specialised filtration products and systems, has announced it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Waterco for the distribution of its Aqua Solution® swimming pool water filtration systems covering Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
With Waterco having worked with LiqTech over the past three years to bring solutions to their joint customers, the new agreement will target the commercial pools market.
Commenting on the agreement, Fei Chen, President and Chief Executive at LiqTech advised "Waterco has been a fantastic partner for LiqTech and we are excited to have an even closer collaboration through this exclusive distribution agreement covering Australia and surrounding areas.
“Together, we expect to reach a broader audience and make a substantial impact in the global aquatics and water treatment industries in these key territories."
Waterco Commercial and Water Treatment Sales Manager, Andy Gale added "we are excited to extend our exclusive partnership with LiqTech. This collaboration enables Waterco to offer customers the most advanced and environmentally friendly filtration solutions available while widening our offering to the market generally.
“Our commitment to quality and sustainability aligns perfectly with LiqTech's vision, making this an excellent synergy for both companies."
The LiqTech pool system ensures excellent and safe water quality and contributes to a significant reduction in carbon footprint with up to an 80% reduction in water spending, 60% lower energy consumption, and 30% lower chlorine dosing.
At the same time, the system size is only one-third the size of conventional media filtration system and is therefore perfect for retrofitting without extensive changes to building constructions being necessary.
The Aqua Solution® is a LiqTech ceramic filter solution for liquids with suspended solids. LiqTech's Aqua Solution® integrates a dead-end structural design with cutting-edge membrane technology that is specifically designed for water pre-treatment in reverse osmosis applications, wastewater treatment, and swimming pool and spa water filtration. The dead-end design yields more cost-efficient filtration performance compared to other filtration options. As a comparison, for the same treated water flow, traditional sand filters have pore sizes three times larger than LiqTech's SiC membranes.
In addition, LiqTech's Aqua Solution® reduces the number of membrane elements, pressure vessels, water consumption for backwash, and energy costs by providing high flow rates at very low pressure.
