Technogym helps SIRO One Za’abeel become Dubai’s first fitness and wellness hotel

Technogym helps SIRO One Za’abeel become Dubai’s first fitness and wellness hotel
February 14, 2024

While gyms, spas and complementary wellness services have increasingly become expected additions to any hotel experience, very few hotels place a focus on their fitness and wellness offerings.

Siro One Za'abeel, a newly opened hotel in Dubai, is challenging this ethos by putting fitness front and centre in its five-star offerings. Gone is the generic fitness club, replaced by specialised fitness and holistic amenities.

The hotel occupies seven floors of the newly opened One Za'abeel dual towers – from level 30 to 37 – with access available via the tower's main lobby.

Hotel operator Kerzner International, renowned for its trailblazing approach to luxury hospitality and the owner of Atlantis and One&Only – is the brains behind this new property now being claimed as Dubai’s first fitness and wellness hotel.

SIRO One Za'abeel, the inaugural hotel under Kerzner’s SIRO brand offers a paradigm-shifting guest experience, focused on fitness and wellness recovery.

With Technogym equipment throughout, the SIRO One Za'abeel sets a new standard for those seeking comprehensive fitness and recovery solutions.

The 1,000sqm gym is open 24/7 and offers Technogym equipment allowing guests to sync heart rate trackers and fitness watches.

At SIRO One Za'abeel, cutting-edge technology takes centre stage, redefining the wellness experience. The commitment to optimising physical and mental well-being is evident through the seamless fusion of science and technology across the core five biohacking pillars: nutrition, fitness, sleep, recovery, and mindfulness. This innovative concept responds to the increasing demand for high-quality fitness and forward-thinking wellbeing facilities positioning SIRO One Za'abeel as a pioneer in the evolving hospitality landscape.

With a dedicated Recovery Lab for mindfulness practices, holistic classes, and advanced treatments, alongside an expansive Fitness Lab boasting state-of-the-art facilities including the latest Technogym equipment, SIRO One Za'abeel provides access to a team of in-house experts complemented by state-of-the-art body composition analysis allowing for personalised fitness and recovery programmes. This blend of cutting-edge technology and comprehensive wellness offerings ensures that guests can immerse themselves in a holistic wellness journey tailored to their individual needs, setting a new standard in hospitality excellence.

Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive of Kerzner International advises “Prioritising fitness, recovery and self-care has become a way of life for many, and has evolved into pillar facet of modern life.

“SIRO is our direct response to this new normal. It’s our incubator concept, a merging of science and innovation to create a space that not only positively blurs the lines of wellness and hospitality but also brings together a community of like-minded individuals who want to enjoy the immediate benefits of fitness while future-proofing their health.”

The Fitness Lab's commitment to diversity extends to its specialised studios, hosting High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), group cycling, and boxing sessions. SIRO presents an exclusive group exercise timetable, boasting a diverse array of 50 classes each week within four exclusive studio spaces all located within the Fitness Studio: Experience Box, Cycling Studio, Yoga Studio, and Pilates Reform. Meticulously curated by SIRO's house of specialists, these classes offer not only immediate gratification but also contribute to long-lasting, sustainable success.

At the forefront of this dynamic line-up is the Experience Box, an atmospheric studio designed for high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and SIRO Signature Classes, including Power, Sculpt, and Booty sessions, developed in-house and lasting 50 minutes each.

Technogym's Plyobox are durable, stable, and practical to use and are the ideal support both for athletic and functional training within SIRO’s Experience Box.

The studio creates an immersive atmosphere through blackout elements, ambient lighting, and music. It features a digital screen supporting TG Team Beats, adding interactive visual engagement by tracking heart rate, performance metrics, and current exercises. The Experience Box's functional performance focus includes suspension trainers, boxing, and self-powered treadmills. This unique studio also hosts specialised classes like Functional Fitness by AC Milan and Boxing Fitness by Ramla Ali. These classes, shaped in collaboration with elite athletes, their trainers and medical staff, offer invaluable insights from the world of sports, allowing guests to train, move, and recover like the world's top athletes.

The Fitness Lab is also home to the Cycle Studio featuring dynamic group cycling sessions for up to 20 guests, with categories such as Speed, Endurance, and Climb, each lasting 45 minutes. These classes focus on fat-burning, cardiovascular health, and muscle endurance.

As a part of destination fitness experiences, guests have access to off-site activities such as desert bike rides, mountain treks, dune buggy trips, indoor diving, padel tennis, football, and golf sessions through SIRO One Za’abeel partners.

Innovative Recovery
Located on the 31st floor, the Recovery Lab epitomises tranquillity and rejuvenation, offering guests a serene escape from the bustling city below. Boasting a spacious yoga studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, guests can immerse themselves in breathtaking views while engaging in mindfulness practices and holistic activities. Group session include yoga, meditation, breathwork, and specialty sessions like sound healing. Additionally, a dedicated Pilates room equipped with reformer Pilates machines provides an intimate space for guests to enhance core strength and flexibility.

Beyond its serene ambiance, the Recovery Lab features specialised rooms offering cutting-edge therapies such as IV Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Sound & Vibration Therapy, and Cryotherapy. These treatments are meticulously designed to alleviate physical tension, soreness, muscle pain, and inflammation while promoting circulation, injury recovery, and tissue repair. Complementing these specialised treatments are holistic offerings including Proverb Modular Stretch Massage, Skin Workout, Assisted Stretching, Physiotherapy, Myofascial Cupping, and Dry Needling, providing guests with a comprehensive approach to recovery.

Moreover, the Recovery Lab boasts separate male and female-only zones, each complete with expansive luxurious changing facilities, infrared saunas, steam rooms, thermo-regulated cold plunge pools, relaxation areas, and zen spaces. This thoughtful design ensures that guests can fully unwind and rejuvenate in a tranquil and comfortable environment tailored to their needs.

Guest's rooms
Catering to guests' holistic wellness needs, each room is equipped with an in-room recovery cabinet stocked with exercise essentials like an exercise ball, stretch bands, meditation cushion, yoga mat, and stretch ladder, enabling guests to enhance their fitness routines in the privacy of their space. Televisions have been replaced with projectors, offering access to virtual recovery sessions, including stretch and yoga classes, projected onto a large wall for immersive wellness experiences.

For a bespoke stay tailored to individual wellness goals, SIRO One Za'abeel offers six Fitness Suites and six Recovery Suites, providing ample space for guests to optimise their training and recovery. The Recovery Suites boast tranquil interiors and spacious living areas, complemented by a therapy bed for in-room treatments and a bathtub with scenic views, fostering unparalleled inner balance and relaxation. By contrast, the Fitness Suites feature a mini private gym equipped with essential fitness equipment, including a stationary bike, treadmill, suspension training system, free weights, and a boxing bag with gloves, empowering guests to pursue their fitness goals with convenience and privacy.
