Singapore’s Wild Wild Wet reopens after ‘enhancements and improvements’

Singapore largest and longest established waterpark, Wild Wild Wet has reopened following a series of ride enhancements and improvements.

Part of the NTUC Downtown East leisure hub in Pasir Ris, Singapore, the waterpark was temporarily closed since in July for a series of improvement and the addition of a soon to be opened new ride.

Improvements have included:

  • The addition of man-made geysers in the Tsunami wave pool the geysers being installed to propel strong water jets during the calm periods;
  • An added water curtain in the Shiok lazy river attration; and
  • Refurbishment of the waterpark's main shower rooms with new wall and floor tiles, refurbished doors and panels, new washing trough and adjustable shower heads. Dedicated water-proof storage cabinets have also been installed in all shower cubicles for added security and convenience for guests who prefer to bring in their personal belongings.

The yet to be unveiled new ride, to be added to the waterpark's existing 13 attractions, represents part of a five-year expansion plan at Wild Wild Wet that will see the waterpark grow to twice its current size. Part of the expansion will occupy the site of the former Escape Theme Park.

Wild Wild Wet first opened in 2004 and is operated by the NTUC Club, the leisure and entertainment arm of Singapore's National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

Established in in 1986 to provide affordable lifestyle options for union members and the public, the NTUC Club has grown to become the largest leisure provider in Singapore with several subsidiaries including Quebec Leisure International Pte Ltd, NCI Golf Pte Ltd, Family Leisure Pte Ltd, Resorts Concept Pte Ltd and Leisurequest Pte Ltd.
