Organisers release details of China Guangzhou International Fitness Fair

The China Guangzhou International Fitness Fair (Fitness Guangzhou 2012) is to held at the China Import & Export Fair, Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou from 9th to 11th March 2012.

Being featured as part of the 9th China Guangzhou International Leisure & Recreation Expo (GILR), which is filling eight exhibition halls at the Pazhou Complex, the event is expected to attract more than 85 leading fitness manufacturers and suppliers with the following enterprises already hving booked spaces at the event: Technogym, Concept2 (Shanghai), Oma, Bojun, Intertek, Permanent(99), Xianlin, jy-yz,Leekonsports, and TM Technischer Gerïtebau GmbH.

Event organisers have already invited 12,245 visitors to attend the event, with attendees able to participate in one-to-one discussions with exhibitors. Invitations have been sent to a cross section of the Chinese fitness market including fitness clubs, trainers ,agents, fitness schools and rehabilitation institutions.

Organisers of the GILR expect that the professional visitors from other concurrent events including the Pool & Spa Fair, the Health Massage Fair, the Dive Show and the Boat Show, will also visit the event.

With the development of the Chinese economy, the people of China are paying greater attention to sport and, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, Chinese families' sports consumption increased by over 100% from 2001 to 2006.

At the same time, obesity is on the rise in China with more than 90 million Chinese identified as being obese, a number that is expected to rise to over 200 million in ten years.
