November 17, 2023

Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM), the managing entity of the Singapore Sports Hub, has announced the appointment of CapitaLand Investment as its new retail operator of the Kallang Wave Mall as well as other retail spaces located in the precinct.

Replacing Stellar Alpha, who have managed the spaces since the Singapore Sports Hub opened in 2014, CapitaLand will operate the locations for a six-year term, from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2030.

Headquartered in Singapore, CapitaLand is one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups with a strong network of over 70 malls in Singapore, China, Malaysia and Vietnam.

From April next year, CapitaLand will partner KASM to oversee and manage the 41,000 metre² of commercial space at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Advising of the change, KASM Chief Executive, Quek Swee Kuan stated “we thank Stellar Alpha for journeying with us and providing a platform for our next stage of growth.

“The Kallang Wave Mall is an important part of the Sports Hub experience and we look forward to working with CapitaLand to transform the retail experience.

“We want the Sports Hub to become an exciting lifestyle precinct, attracting both Singaporeans and tourists to visit the Sports Hub all year round.”

CapitaLand Investment Chief Executive of retail and workspace for Singapore and Malaysia, Chris Chong noted “we are pleased to partner KASM to support their envisioned transformation of the (Singapore Sports) Hub and the wider Kallang precinct as the preferred lifestyle and entertainment hub for locals and tourists alike.”

CapitaLand will also introduce its shopping rewards programmes CapitaStar and eCapitaVoucher in Kallang Wave Mall.

As the new retail operator, it will collaborate with KASM to review plans to enhance the shopping experience there, such as by reconfiguring spaces and refreshing retail offerings.

Since taking over management of the Singapore Sports Hub, the KASM team has developed Kallang Alive and Singapore Sports Hub as the leading sports, entertainment and lifestyle destination in Asia.

Kallang Alive Sport Management Co Pte Ltd (KASM), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kallang Alive Holding Co Pte Ltd which is incorporated by Sport Singapore, was established to manage the Singapore Sports Hub from 9th December 2022.
