Fitness fans from across South East Asia and Australasia came together in Singapore early last month to celebrate live workouts and embrace new innovations at a landmark event hosted by Les Mills Asia Pacific, adidas, Sport Singapore and Body Bike indoor cycles.

LES MILLS LIVE Singapore brought together more than 5,700 participants for a thrilling, multi-day live fitness experience as they sweated, squatted and lifted their way through the latest LES MILLS workouts, led by some of the world’s most prominent Instructors.

Over the course of the two-day event (held on 3rd and 4th June), leading LES MILLS instructors Rachael Newsham, Marlon Woods, Kylie Gates, Khiran Huston, Reagan Kang and Meno Thomas took to the stage to lead fans through life-changing fitness experiences.

Attendees enjoyed workouts including BODYPUMP®, BODYCOMBAT® and BODYBALANCE®. Additionally, an exclusive preview workout of the latest training offering called ‘LES MILLS Strength Development’ was enjoyed by a select group of VIPs and fitness professionals.

Les Mills Asia Pacific Chief Executive, Ryan Hogan commented “it was fantastic to introduce this brand-new training for the first time ever in South East Asia.

“LES MILLS Strength Development is an innovative approach to group training, designed to meet Gen Z’s demand for highly-motivating fitness experiences that bring results, strength and empowerment. It was really exciting to be able to unveil this training format at LES MILLS LIVE and the response from those who attended was extremely positive.”

LES MILLS LIVE Singapore was the first leg of a blockbuster tour of global fitness events celebrating the new brand partnership between adidas and Les Mills, which aims to shape the future of training by combining the best of live and digital fitness experiences.

Throughout 2023 and beyond, the two brands are creating an enhanced athlete journey for live and digital fitness with further activations and experiences to grow the training community in Southeast Asia and Australia, with a particular focus on inspiring Gen Z to fall in love with fitness.

Attendees got the chance to explore pioneering new training concepts, meet some of their favourite Instructors and enjoy unforgettable brand experiences, all backed by epic music, lights and energy. Reflecting on LES MILLS LIVE Singapore, Hogan noted “it was incredible to bring people together for a thrilling festival of fitness and to celebrate the power of live workouts in a social setting. There's nothing like witnessing almost 1,000 people moving in perfect unison in a BODYCOMBAT® class.

“The unity among everyone in the room was incredible, and typical of the electric energy and excitement that attendees experienced across the two days.

“Our brand partnership with adidas will redefine fitness for the next generation of training fans, driven by our focus on innovation, connection, and motivation. By placing the community at the heart of all we do, we can inspire millions to be more active, and make good on our mission to create a fitter planet.”

The event also saw the Les Mills star Instructors putting the latest high-performance adidas training apparel, footwear and accessories to the test, which have all been expertly crafted to support HIIT, Strength and Stretch sessions. The training collections are available for the community and instructors alike and designed to support no matter the activity level.

Sport Singapore’s involvement
Delivered in conjunction with LES MILLS LIVE were a series of community group fitness classes, which were facilitated by Sport Singapore to support their physical activity goals for local Singaporeans across the island.

Roy Teo, Chief of Industry Development, Technology and Innovation, Sport Singapore explained “we are pleased to host the LES MILLS LIVE event - the only Asian country to do so in 2023 - here at the OCBC Arena. It was heartening to witness over 5,700 fitness enthusiasts, exercise professionals, Instructors and their friends and families working out over the two days, to high energy beats in the Kallang Alive precinct.

“Sport Singapore will continue to support the community to lead an active lifestyle through fitness programs like those under Les Mills.”

BODY BIKE involvement
Lee Smith, Director of BODY BIKE in Asia Pacific, added “BODY BIKE were thrilled to support LES MILLS LIVE Singapore 2023 through the provision of all the indoor bikes used for the cycle programs. We loved showcasing our benchmark model SMART+, which included our sustainable versions: Ocean Blue and Forest Green.”

These latest BODY BIKE models are part of the company’s sustainable mission to leave nothing behind and clean up. The BODY BIKE SMART+ Forest Green is made from recycled ABS, so users can enjoy all the luxury and functionality of the BODY BIKE SMART+ that they already know and love, but with a clear carbon conscience.

“We’re proud of these innovations and our company commitment to leave nothing behind and clean up.”
