December 16, 2022

Kraftwerk Living Technologies, a global specialist for integrated media technology solutions and media-based attractions headquartered in Austria not only celebrates its 30th anniversary but concludes a successful year full of international recognition.

KLT has secured numerous awards this year for its contribution to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion at the Dubai Expo.

KLT undertook one of its largest and most advanced audio-visual projects in the KSA Pavilion which opened its doors for Expo 2020 in Dubai (AE) from October 2021 to March 2022, showcasing media technology of every kind on a scale not seen before for such an attraction.

The pavilion represented the heritage and future of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in an unprecedented way, with no written text and only by sight and sound experiences delivered through technology and media content.

Alongside the architects and designers of Boris Micka Associates, KLT was responsible for all audio-visual systems, from the technical design phase to the installation and system integration of all AV equipment. The KSA Pavilion with its unique, groundbreaking technical features has won three Guinness World Records and multiple renowned awards in 2022.

At this year’s Inavation Awards, Kraftwerk Living Technologies was nominated in two categories: “Best R&D” and “Visitor Attraction” and on 10th May at the Awards ceremony in Barcelona was awarded in the category “Visitor Attraction” for the KSA Pavilion. Later this year, KLT was listed among the finalists of the AV Awards, which took place on 4th November in London and received the second major industry award for the pavilion, namely for "Themed Entertainment and Attractions Project of the Year". Finally, on December 8th, 2022 the winners of the blooloop Innovation Awards were revealed, listing KLT and the KSA Pavilion as the winner of the category "Spectacular".

Kraftwerk Living Technologies also announced that Kevin Murphy, Senior VP Sales & Business Development earned the Peter Chernack Distinguished Service Award for his longtime service in the industry as well as for his tireless support of the Themed Entertainment Association, its EME Division and global members.
