Gateway Ticketing Systems announces major Galaxy solution upgrade

Gateway Ticketing Systems announces major Galaxy solution upgrade
January 5, 2024

Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, has released a new upgrade for its ticketing solution.

Galaxy 7.8.15, now available to download and install, offers several new features and updates, enabling users to boost sales and better manage their operations.

Announcing the upgrade, Tom Chiarella, Executive Vice President and Head of Product for Gateway Ticketing Systems, stated “we remain committed to improving our ticketing platform to enhance the guest experience and improve the ease of execution for the user.

“Our recent ticketing system upgrade reflects our commitment to delivering an unparalleled user experience. We’ve made strides to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and elevate your ticketing journey.”

Benefits of Galaxy 7.8.15
The benefits of upgrading to Galaxy version 7.8.15 include:

Salesforce Marketing Cloud solution. With extensive data collected about orders, annual passes and memberships (including usage), and guest contact information in Galaxy, sites may now leverage the power of their Salesforce system.

Self-service options to adjust or cancel orders. With the most recent eGalaxy Web Store upgrade, customers can now modify their visit dates and, if permitted, cancel their order entirely by logging into the same self-service portal.

Go City Direct Connect. Now, visitors with Go City passes can skip the ticket office and get straight to the entry gate. Instead of having to front-load all possible Go City passes and export usage on the back end, sites that accept Go City passes may now instantly validate the Go City pass at the moment of usage.

Improved gift ticket workflows. Without using generic, denomination-based stored value cards, sites that employ timed or dated tickets can now offer tickets marked as gifts and yet take advantage of scheduled ticketing planning and crowd control capabilities. When the gift tickets arrive, the receiver chooses their own online visitation time. This means that the flexibility of gift tickets can be combined with the planning and crowd management advantages of dated or timed tickets.

Digital ticket delivery. Delivery options have expanded to include on-site sales at Galaxy Point of Sale, in addition to the eGalaxy Web Store, via email or SMS. Users can offer their visitors the easiest alternative for them, whether it’s online or on-site.

Attribute-based pricing model. The next big development in Galaxy’s pricing models is attribute-based pricing. This lets users establish basic prices and then modify them based on the chosen product’s qualities and predefined criteria for how those factors should shift the price point.

ID.me integration. By integrating ID.me with the eGalaxy Web Store, businesses can keep providing exclusive offerings for key visitors, including first responders, educators, and members of the armed forces, without requiring them to make an in-person purchase so that they can display their credentials.

In addition, Gateway has made several user interface improvements, to make managing eGalaxy Web Store and Galaxy Connect sales channels easier.

Recently, Gateway Ticketing Systems was named as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work in the USA state of Pennsylvania, showcasing the company’s dedication to creating a positive and motivating work environment.
