Dubai resort Atlantis The Palm has reopened its ShuiQi Spa & Fitness Centre following extensive renovations - the first club in the Middle East to feature Technogym's latest range of gym equipment, Artis.

Commenting on the renovation, Atlantis The Palm Vice President of Spa Services Neil Hewerdine stated "we decided to renovate ShuiQi Spa & Fitness Centre with the intention of developing an experience that would exceed the already high expectations of our guests.

"In order to do this, we ensured we went straight to the top for design and equipment fit out.

Technogym's Artis range used at the fitness centre comprises a complete cardio line, including treadmill, elliptical, bike and recline, as well as strength pieces and functional stations.

The Artis range offers the latest in sports technology in terms of connectivity, sustainability, design and movement, including a fully integrated platform of interconnected products, services, content and programmes that allow ShuiQi Spa and Fitness staff to manage guests' wellness lifestyles both in and out of the Fitness Centre.

Two zones focus on functional training, including Omnia, a group functional training space, which is also a new concept to Dubai, and a 'Kinesis' zone, which incorporates functional equipment that activates the body's complete kinetic chain, rather than individual muscles. The remaining zones cover cardio, strength, flexibility and free weights.
