August 3, 2021

Leading inflatable water play products company Wibit Sports has released the WaterMask, the world’s first Neoprene face mask to be used in aquatic environments, while also expanding its product range with floating furniture.

The newly released Wibit WaterMask is comfortable to wear and easy to open and close featuring overlapping Velcro with secure grip to keeps it in place over users’ ears. Slits on both sides provide air flow making it easy to breath - even when wet - while slots on the bottom enable water to  drains as wearers come up out of the water while swimming and diving.

Wibit point out that the the WaterMask is not a medical device but “a face covering that can help to mitigate the infection risk while in the water similar to other non-medical face coverings. It is meant to help slow the spread of harmful pathogens when combined with other preventive measures, such as frequent hand-washing and social distancing.”

The company also advise that the WaterMask should be sanitised and/or cleaned thoroughly and left to dry completely after each use.

Having secured financial backing from investor Argos Wityu, the German company has also expanded its operations with a range of floating furniture.

Named ‘Looft’, the range includes robust swimming chairs, ergonomically shaped air mattresses, spacious bathing islands and other floating accessories for hotels, beach clubs and villas.

Commenting on the Looft range, Wibit founder and Chief Executive, Romann Rademacher advised “this is a new pillar in a new market.”
