VMA opens 2022 Venue Management School for enrolments

The Venue Management Association (Asia Pacific) has opened enrolments for its 2022 Venue Management School, encompasses the VMA Leadership Institute.

The only industry run school of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, this immersive program has been designed by today’s leaders for tomorrow’s leaders, and combines the ultimate venue industry networking experience with a tailored education program essential to any venue industry professional.

Held over five days from 6th to 11th November 2022 at the Mantra and Peppers on Salt Beach Kingscliff in Northern NSW, the internationally recognised School combines 35 industry specific subjects delivered by 23 executive level industry Instructors.

Positioning delegates as potential leaders of the future, the VMS has been a turning point in the careers of close to 1000 industry professionals over the last 26 years.

VMS Scholarships Available
The VMA is able to support professional development through its VMA Scholarships to Attend School program.

Each scholarship opportunity is designed to reflect and reward the applicants great work across several key themes that are easily translated into everyday actions of your staff.

Each successful applicant will receive:

  • Enrolment into either VMS Year 1 or VMS Year 2 or VMA Leadership Institute, plus
  • $1500 to cover travel and ancillary costs of attendance

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have adequate experience and a level of skills and knowledge within the venue management industry to appropriately contribute to the School program for which they are applying (i.e. VMS Year 1, VMS Year 2, Leadership Institute).
  • Currently work within in the venue management industry within the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Be 18 years of age or above.

Applications close on 31st July 2022 and successful applicants will be contacted by the VMA office by 31st August.

Call for Mentors
The VMA Mentor Program, in partnership with QuayClean, is designed to enable experienced venue management industry professionals to share their knowledge, skills and insights with mentees through a one-on-one professional relationship. Mentees benefit from gaining knowledge and support in their career, while mentors make a personal impact on the professional development of others, and on the strength of the industry, the VMA and its Members.

The VMA Mentor Program looks to engage, inspire and nurture mentors and mentees in a professionally supportive learning environment.

Apply now if you are:

  • A current financial VMA Member;
  • A current employee of a VMA Group Membership;
  • Willing to commit up to 12 months to participate in the program;
  • Work within the Asia-Pacific region; and
  • Willing to actively work toward achieving mentoring relationship goal.
