Technogym advises of Kinomap integration for immersive experiences
July 9, 2024

Leading exercise equipment supplier Technogym has advised that it has integrated with Kinomap technology to enrich cardio workouts by offering exercisers updated and immersive real-world landscapes.

Accessible seamlessly on Technogym cardio equipment, the integration provides user-friendly, engaging and personalised fitness experiences by accessing Kinomap’s platform and community of library video footage from real world locations.

Kinomap - the world’s largest geolocated video sharing platform - is an interactive training app for indoor cycling, running and rowing that connect exercisers with the most scenic and popular routes around the world.

The open-platform nature of the Technogym Ecosystem means that it seamlessly combines artificial intelligence, on-demand content, software, apps, fitness equipment and wearable devices.

The seamless integration of Kinomap enables users to dive firsthand into interactive workouts directly from Technogym’s cardio equipment, with no need to download the Kinomap app, or to connect to third-party screens as the immersive path (chosen from over 40,000 global locations, continuously updated) smoothly launches on the screen of Technogym’s built-in product console.

Runners and cyclists will be able to travel the world – locations such as the dunes of Gran Canaria, the Alps, the oceanside of French Polynesia, the desert landscapes of Utah - without leaving their fitness club for unparalleled workouts of all levels, from beginner to advanced athlete.

Kinomap’s integration aligns seamlessly with Technogym’s strategy, which is focussed on providing diverse and engaging content to enhance all workout experiences and to fulfill the needs of fitness enthusiasts. This is done by providing super personalization and quality content, that will keep exercisers motivated and inspired on their fitness journey, wherever they are. At the same time, logging in via Technogym App, all workout data is tracked and analysed, just as any other acquired within the ecosystem.

Technogym users can benefit from a 60-day extended free trial by logging into Kinomap directly with their Technogym account.

The Kinomap platform is available in 15 languages, has 450,000 kilometres of geolocated routes and more than 40,000 training videos in over 200 countries.

Technogym and the American College of Sports Medicine
Technogym has also announced that is now an official partner of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and its Exercise in Medicine (EIM), with the status of ‘Global ACSM partner’ and ‘Global EIM Partner’ in all countries.

Technogym and ACSM are actively engaged in promoting physical activity and exercise as an integral part of the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. In this perspective, the amount and quality of the exercise performed by the patient must be considered by the general practitioner as a clinical parameter on a par with blood pressure, weight and glycaemia.
