Singapore-based fitness brand, True Group is in the process of rolling out its new TFX brand with three new clubs opening over a period of four months including what will be the largest commercial gym in the city.

Providing members with choices for an all-in fitness experience, TFX’s curated fitness concept was launched last month at the new Funan shopping mall.

The two-floor 1,394 metre² flagship club in the redeveloped Funan shopping mall was created to deliver innovative programs in which members can track and achieve results through technology. With a focus on innovation, technology-enabled training and a consumer-centric perspective, TFX’s program have been built on a 4-Quadrant Fitness Program model encompassing metabolic, strength, restoration and variability conditioning to help members achieve fitness sustainability.

TFX Funan is the first gym in Singapore to house the Matrix Strength Ultra Series which comes with Intelligent Video Training Display for resistance training. It also offers Life Fitness IC6 spinning bikes, a Naomi training cube, Concept 2’s Bike and Ski ERGs and rowers, functional training equipment from Ziva and Torque, and Rogue’s barbells and a Monster Rhino Belt Squat.

Introducing the concept, Sean Tan, Director of True Group, explains “(our) management are fitness enthusiasts who understand fitness from the user’s perspective.

“We are always on the gym floor working out, interacting with members, and trying out the equipment. The concept of fitness sustainability is at the core of TFX; that is why TFX clubs will not only feature the best-in-class equipment from a variety of brands, but also science-based programming and workouts that are regularly updated to keep interest piqued and results coming.

“TFX will cater to those looking out for the latest in fitness trends as we launch our unique ‘club-within-a-club’ concept, where we will set aside areas in our clubs to test-bed new fitness concepts.

“Think of it like having curated boutique fitness concepts as ‘pop-ups’ within our gyms.”

This month has also seen the opening of TFX Pacific Plaza, another two-level club, with a 1,811 metre² floor area.

Yoga is a key feature at TFX Pacific Plaza, with its entire Level 4 premises dedicated to the latest in yoga experiences and classes which include immersive yoga, wall yoga, aerial yoga and private personal training.

Level 5 of the club also features functional training equipment from Torque and Ziva, cardio equipment from Matrix, strength equipment from Matrix and Life Fitness alongside spinning bikes from Life Fitness, and equipment from Rogue. The club also has a boxing area, lifting platforms for both men and women, and equipment from Les Mills’ SMARTech line.

The third facility, TFX Millenia Walk will be the largest commercial gym in Singapore - covering 3,874 metre² - when it opens in September.

True Group has also invested in My Zone technology, geared to user’s wearable devices to monitor achievements and fitness progression while also allowing users to connect and interact with other club members, creating a community aspect to training.
