Mindbody opens new office in India
February 18, 2020

Leading fitness and wellness technology platform Mindbody has announced that it is to expand its operations with the launch of a new office in India.

Based out of Pune in the state of Maharashtra, Mindbody’s new space is a state-of-the-art engineering facility equipped to build products for Mindbody business units across the world.

The new office is in line with Mindbody’s plans to harness the potential of the country’s vibrant technology ecosystem to deliver top notch products and services to the end customer.

The office opening comes on the back of Mindbody’s acquisition of Simplicity First, a software consulting firm based in Pune that was completed last year. The firm specializes in software development, quality assurance and project management. The new facility showcases Mindbody’s commitment to India and promises to give a boost to the country’s engineering network with ample employment opportunities.

Announcing the expansion, Mindbody President, Josh McCarter stated “India is a major tech centre that houses some of the best talent in the world.

“We see the team in India playing a key role in our global product development strategy. Over the next year, we seek to promote our collaborative, high-performance workplace culture and recruit the best engineering talent hailing from diverse backgrounds in the country.”

Lifestyle businesses worldwide use Mindbody’s integrated software and payments platform to run, market and grow their operations. The sophisticated software offers business critical functions such as online booking, staff management, scheduling, marketing automation, and data analysis, among other features.

Mindbody Chief Technical Officer, Sunil Rajasekar added “our team in India will serve as an innovation engine that will help develop the best products within the wellness technology space.

“The office will support all major business units at Mindbody and will be at the heart of product advancement efforts. We are extremely excited for the collaboration opportunities we stand to unlock with the diverse technological talent in India.”

Mindbody has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work and is one of 230 companies selected for the 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, which distinguishes companies committed to transparency in gender reporting and advancing women's equality.
