Les Mills Group Fitness programs launched in Laos
February 21, 2022

Les Mills has expanded the global reach of its group fitness offerings with the introduction of its programs at the new VIP Fitness Club in the Laotian capital of Vientiane.

With the newly opened gym offering Les Mills programs such as BODYBALANCE®, BODYCOMBAT® and BODYPUMP® included in its timetable.

Bunruan Banthaowong, General Manager of Laos’ very first and only fitness facility to offer these classes to its members, explains “Les Mills programs are the most popular group fitness workouts in the world, so we’re really excited to be the first and only fitness facility in Laos offering these scientifically-designed classes to our members.

“We’ll evaluate feedback from our members every three months, to monitor how well the Les Mills programs are going.

“We choose to work with Les Mills Asia Pacific because Les Mills sets the international standard for group fitness.”

Despite having opened its doors just last month, VIP Fitness Club members are already responding positively to the club’s launch and its programs.

Ryan Hogan, Chief Executive of Les Mills Asia Pacific, commented “2021 was a challenging time due to COVID-19 lockdowns - Laos included - so, we’re ecstatic to welcome VIP Fitness Club into the Les Mills Asia Pacific family. We’re especially excited that they’ve finally been able to open after the ongoing delays caused by the pandemic.”

Laos joins Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Maldives, Guam and Papua New Guinea, to become the 14th country that falls into Les Mills Asia Pacific’s jurisdiction.

To help facilities like VIP Fitness Club, future-proof themselves against future lockdowns, Les Mills has developed what it calls the Ultimate Group Fitness Solution which ensures clubs can cater to the new needs of members, such as their desire to work out both in-club and at home, in a 60:40 split (Les Mills 2021 Global Fitness Report).
