LAI Games appoints Shannon Perell as Chief Product Officer

LAI Games has promoted Shannon Perell to Chief Product Officer from his previously held position of Vice President of Product Development for the company.

LAI Games is a designer, developer, and manufacturer of modern games and attractions for a global audience of location-based entertainment venues with a core focus on creating social and accessible arcade experiences.

As CPO, Perell is responsible for LAI’s strategic product direction. From concept to launch, he leads the R&D team in product innovation, design, and development to build great games and attractions that deliver value to customers.

LAI Games Chief Executive Mark Easte notes “with an exceptional track record for success and innovation in game design and development, Mr. Perell’s appointment to CPO reflects a growing depth in the leadership group within LAI Games.We look forward to delivering ways to drive our industry forward with exciting new products and entertainment choices.”

Perell joined LAI Games in 2010 as a Game Designer, making a significant impact and creating some of the industry’s most iconic games, including Speed of Light, Let’s Bounce, HYPERshoot and HYPERpitch.

In 2017, he then led his team to develop a what would define the new game category of unattended VR with Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride, which remains the industry standard in its class to this day. Perell and his team have won five AMOA Innovator Awards for their products. Additionally, he was instrumental in helping to establish and manage the company’s manufacturing capabilities and building a world-class R&D team in LAI’s Singapore studio. One of his latest accomplishments is bringing the company’s first consumer VR game, Arcade Legend, to life, launching on Meta Quest and Steam later this year.
