INTIX expands with digital ticketing offering for Emirates Dubai Sevens

INTIX expands with digital ticketing offering for Emirates Dubai Sevens
February 3, 2022

Victorian digital ticketing provider INTIX has announced a significant international contract that saw it work with UAE Digital Wallet Company Back 9 Solutions, to provide over 85,000 digital tickets to attendees for the Emirates Dubai 7s in December last year.

Advising that the innovation and product the company provided was exactly what the event was looking for, INTIX Chief Executive, Alex Grant stated “INTIX was able to show expertise, innovation and efficiency while managing the digital ticketing aspect of the event in the ever-changing COVID environment.”

Events across the world have been moving to digital ticketing in the wake of COVID restrictions to better manage contact tracing, capacity, and contactless operations. The Dubai 7s event organisers contacted INTIX when they read about how they were transitioning Australian events into the digital ticketing space.

Noting that it was an honour to be selected as the ticketing partner for such a prestigious event and was proud of what his team has achieved, Grant advised “it was great to be back in the thick of a major event.

“We were pleased to be able to provide a smooth and easy digital solution to such a renowned international event.

“The last two years have been a real challenge in Australia with many major events being cancelled due to COVID.

“We have been working with some clients in the UK and New Zealand for a couple of years now, but nothing internationally on the scale of the Dubai 7s. So, when the organisers got in touch, I knew it was time to take the company global.”

INTIX’s growth has been accelerating in Australia since they started in 2017, working with major events including Listen Out music festival, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Melbourne Marathon, NBL, the VFL and more. They also have several events coming up in the USA and UK this year including BeeUFest in Manchester featuring 90s pop band, STEPS.

Grant added “as a company that has been providing digital ticketing solutions for four years, it is clear that COVID has hastened the transition to digital ticketing all over the world.

“We look forward to continuing to work with our current clients and are once again expanding our team to take on more events of all sizes in Australia and across the world.”
