Dubai Holding, the global investment company with operations in 13 countries, has named former CircusTrix Chief Executive Fernando Eiroa as the Chief Executive of Dubai Holding Entertainment.

Eiroa has nearly 20 years of experience in the experiential entertainment industry, most recently with CircusTrix, the world’s largest developer, operator and franchisor of indoor active recreation centres.

Before working for CircusTrix, which boasts more than 320 facilities worldwide, Eiroa was Chief Executive of Parques Reunidos, operating more than 60 parks in 14 countries. Prior to that, he worked as Chief Executive of Palace Entertainment, Parques Reunidos‘ US subsidiary.

Looking forward to his new role, Eiroa stated "the breadth and diversity of entertainment experiences in Dubai is an inspiration for the industry worldwide. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute towards further enhancing the emirate’s rich recreational and leisure landscape, which draws millions of tourists each year.

“Dubai Holding Entertainment is at the forefront of delivering innovative concepts that delight and enthral people young and old, and continually drive Dubai’s tourism potential in alignment with Dubai Holding and the emirate’s visionary leadership. I look forward to steering the business towards its next phase of growth.”

In his new role Eiroa will lead the company’s innovation strategy and oversee operations at attractions including Global Village, Ain Dubai and Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Amit Kaushal, Dubai Holding’s Group Chief Executive, added “Dubai Holding Entertainment has developed some of Dubai’s world-renowned landmarks and thriving entertainment destinations, becoming one of the largest diversified entertainment groups in the MENA region.

“Fernando has had a distinguished career in the leisure and entertainment industry with some of the world’s leading attractions and park operators.

“I am confident his passion for building world-class experiences and driving innovation in the sector will help to steer Dubai Holding Entertainment’s strong presence, as we continue to bolster Dubai’s position as a top global tourist destination with a diverse and ever-expanding offering that caters to residents and visitors alike.”
