Chimelong Group and Coca-Cola China announce five-year partnership
Theme park operator Chimelong Group entered into a five year strategic partnership with beverage giant Coca-Cola China on 27th September to boost the guest experience at Chimelong's properties.
As reported in the China Daily, as part of the agreement, Coca-Cola will supply a variety of beverages to the group's theme parks and hotels, including packaged water, ready-to-drink coffee, teas, fruit juices and sparkling water. The companies said the partnership demonstrates their commitment to the region and the integration of the cultural tourism and beverage sectors.
Chimelong Group, which operates six theme parks, eight hotels and three circus theatres, has seen more than 40 million visitors to its parks this year.
Coca-Cola China advised that it will leverage its network of bottling partners in the Greater Bay Area -- Swire Guangdong Coca-Cola and Zhuhai Coca-Cola, to ensure the quality and efficiency of supply.
On its presence in China, Coca-Cola China notes on its website “since returning to the Chinese mainland market in 1979, Coca-Cola has been committed to providing Chinese consumers with a rich and diverse beverage selection, including more than 20 brands and approximately 100 beverages.
“Adhering to the long-term development philosophy, the Coca-Cola system continues to invest in the Chinese market. Its cumulative investment in China has exceeded US$13 billion. It has built 46 factories and has more than 49,000 employees in the system, 99% of whom are local employees, and 98% of raw materials are purchased locally.”
