Chengdu Cube Oceanarium recognised with two Guinness World Records

The recently completed Cube Oceanarium in Chengdu, China, has been awarded two Guinness World Records for the world's largest acrylic window and the world's largest aquarium window.

The window which opens the view to 10,000,000 litre main exhibit tank reaches 40 metres in length and 8.3 metres in height - a feat that no other aquarium in the world has reached.

Officially opened on New Year's Eve, the Cube Oceanarium is located in the heart of Chengdu's newest, and largest, shopping precinct – Seaside City.  

Now open for business and attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors, construction works were undertaken by Advanced Aquarium Technologies (AAT).

Based on the Sunshine Coast, AAT was been responsible for the aquarium specialist construction works as well as supplying its specialty range of commercial life support systems installed on-site. It also provide smaller exhibits fitted with skid-mounted life support system units.

In addition, AAT have been contracted to support the operations management of the aquarium providing training and on-site support for the first 12 months of operation.
