Leading Asian attractions have been recognised at the global amusement and theme park industry's 2019 Brass Ring Awards, with particular success in the Live Entertainment Excellence category.

The awards recognise theme parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, family entertainment centres (FECs) and suppliers for excellence in food and beverage, games and retail, human resources, live entertainment, marketing, new products and exhibits.

Among the many award categories, Asian theme parks secured three of the 10 awards in the Live Entertainment Excellence, category, winning for:

• Most Creative Multimedia Spectacular: Dancing Islands, Fantawild International Limited, Shenzhen, China
• Most Creative Property-wide Event (annual attendance less than one million): Winterfest, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi also secured the Human Resources Excellence for the Best Employee Engagement Initiative (annual attendance less than one million).

Turkey-based Polin Waterparks also secured two Awards, in the Best Exhbitor and Best New Product Concept Award (Major Ride/Attraction) categories

IAAPA's Service Awards also recognised three industry leaders for their outstanding contributions to the global attractions industry, with 2019 Awards presented to Australian Greg O’Neill of Leisure and Amusement Services Ltd along with Geoff Chutter of Canadian waterslide manufacturer WhiteWater and Ash Smart of UK attraction Harbour Park.
